Cao

The Hill, March 31, 2009:

Rep. Joseph Cao (R-La.) may buck his party when the House votes on President Obama’s budget proposal later this week.

The freshman lawmaker told The Hill that his constituents are split, adding that he wants more information before deciding whether to stick with his party or side with the president, who carried his district overwhelmingly in November.

“At this point, I’m not sure which is approach is better,” Cao said Tuesday morning.

The actual vote, April 2, 2009:

Cao - NAY

Public vacillation, handwringing, and faux-maverickiness, followed by a party-line vote, seems to be an ongoing tic of Cao’s. On Feb. 12, on the eve of the stimulus package vote, he told The Times-Picayune:

I’m voting along what my conscience dictates and the needs of the 2nd Congressional District dictate, even if I were to be the only member of the GOP to vote for the stimulus package.”

A day later, his conscience seemed to have second thoughts, and he voted against the stimulus.

And you point is? You know I find it really hard to get outraged from your constant partisan attacks. I know I only speak for my self but I don’t care if he is voting with his party or not. He is responsible no matter how he votes. Your insinuations are that somehow that makes it only for political reasons and that maybe he is really wants to vote for it with all of his heart but those mean bullies in the republican party make him vote that way.

The real story here is that you don’t like him because he is a self made person and a minority and an immigrant. If he was black you would call him an Oreo. The only reason you are not saying he is a raciest is because he isn’t white.

The hidden truth here isn’t what Mr. Cao is up to but what your agenda is. You can’t stand it that someone who isn’t white is a congressmen from that district is not black.

So there was a choice between Dollar Bill and Mr. Cao and Mr. Cao got elected. Frankly if he was a democrat that would be ok with me too as long as it wasn’t Dollar Bill.

So what if he isn’t as you claim representing his constiuants correctly and most of them would rather he voted for all the money stright down the democratic party line?

What if it was still the right thing to do? He would actually be trying to use leadership in that case. Something that is sorely lacking. Everybody trying to get the maximum amount of money into their district is what got us where we are today with the deficit. It would be nice if more people cared about the overall effect of massive deficit spending rather than what people in their district think.

I am a Libertarian and I don’t go for a super huge federal government. I am sorry!

I am not mad that they are spending my tax money. I am mad because they are making me spend peoples money that are not even alive yet. How am I going to explain what is going on now to one of them if I live that long?

They spent all of the money tax money you will pay in your entire life and mine to many, many years ago.

Do you realize that when they borrow money that this is what that means? They have already spent all of the money we gave them and they spend billions more. This has been going on for years.

But you don’t really care about that. You have your social agenda to attend to and you are filled with rage so you right things like this as if they are accusations when if fact it isn’t even a story unless you are making a racial point. I mean that isn’t what you are getting at is it?

So you put this out as “Big News” and meanwhile more money is being spent today than has ever been spent in the entire history of the US.

The president says that George Bush and the Republicans single handedly spent 1.4 trillion so his idea of CHANGE is to spend 9.2 Trillion.

No big stories there for you? That doesn’t strike you as a dumb idea? To say that something was done that was bad policy but lets do 10 times more?

Thanks to the constitution and soldiers that have served this country you can have any editorial policy you like. So keep it up but Je Cues you of being a transparent light weight drone for Big spenders from Washington no matter what party they belong to. People like you that don’t understand the dangers of spending money we don’t have are the reason that California is 40 billion in debt and people that think that Mr. Cao are the reason Louisiana and a few other states are not completely broke.

Your partisanship and bias knows no bounds. You should be questioning Charlie Melancon as to why he didn’t vote like everyone else in this state against the spending and bailouts.

He is selling us all down the river but you have these other agendas to take care of.

Shut your gob, Resista or at least write more concisely. To criticize Cao is NOT the same being nostalgic for Dollar Bill.

The real vice of the story is Kevin’s not linking to a post by moi making the same point several days ago:

“Resista” - aka Kevin Watkins is a weed-smoking wigger “Rasta” who used to work for an ISP until he got fired for incompetence. Now he jabbers on the keyboard in between bong hits and pretending to, like, play the bass, man. (He can’t actually play.)

Thanks Joe. Everything you said about me is true but despite that I am appearing with my Reggae Band at Shaggys in the Pass Christian Harbor every Sunday from 3 Pm till Sundown.

http://shaggys.biz for Directions.

You can hear my music and decide if I really am that bad of a bass player on my space at http://www.myspace.com/alamerica . I hope that since the proprietors of this site have seen fit to leave your personal slander against me in place here that they will also leave these links so that people can see if I am the low life former ISP employee and horrible bass player that you claim.

So like a normal liberal Joe you don’t debate my point but instead you make a personal attack and try to out me on some level in your own mind like some kind of nutless prez hilton wanna be.

Bail outs still not working. Auto companies going bankrupt even after all the bailout money. Banks being socialized and people being denounced.

March on Fellow travelers.

Oh, Resista, er, KEVIN WATKINS, douchebag extraodinaire! Methinks you protest too much, adding in complaints over random topics; and then engaging in the same ad hominem attacks you decried. Don’t stick you bong in your eye!
