Wait in line and get Chris Paul’s Autograph tomorrow

Chris Paul fans, sneakerheads and anyone who enjoys looking at (what most likely will be) a mob scene take note: Paul will be at the Foot Locker on Canal Street from 6 to 6:45 p.m. tomorrow to promote the upcoming release of his second signature shoe, the Jordan CP3.II.

I’ve never been much of a sneaker collector as much as an admirer (at $118 a pop, these shoes are definitely out of my range even for daily wear), but it’s not every day a world-class athlete takes time out of his schedule to meet and greet with some fans and sign a few hundred autographs.

You know Blog of New Orleans will be there to cover it (as well as the launch party at the Republic on Thursday night after the Hornets face the Mavericks), so get out there people.

The Shoe Release at The Republic was a smash hit for those on the elite VIP list. There were many Hornets players there… Chris Paul, Tyson Chandler, David West, Rasual Butler, Sean Marks, James Posey and of course the Head Coach Byron Scott. We also had BET’s Big Tigger on the Ones and 2’s. I wasn’t sure why we were all patted down and scanned with metal detectors until several hours into the party New Orleans own Rapper Lil Wayne showed up with his Possey. From the Red Carpet entering the Venue to the open bar to the VIPS’s that attended, CP3 deffinately knows how to throw an amazing party…
