In which I take all the best news, quotes, pictures and everything else Saints-related toss it together and serve it up for our readers. This week we’ll be tackling the Saints (2—3) week 6 matchup against the Oakland Raiders at home in the Dome. There’s a lot to cover this week as this teams tries to bounce back from a manic Monday Night loss to the Vikings.

- Best Reason To Care About This Game: Marques Colston is probably, maybe, definitely playing this weekend. Great news for Drew Brees (who doesn’t seem to have missed his No. 1 target that much) and bad news for the Oakland secondary. Now if only Colston could play defense, the Saints would really have something going.
- Best Quote of the Week: “Hopefully, he has no punt returns.” — Raiders special teams coach Brian Schneider talking about Reggie Bush. Aren’t Saints fans glad that their best weapon is so good, he might not even touch the ball?

- Best Place
to Watch The GameOrder Food From: During our little adventure on Monday, Chef Who Dat proclaimed that McHardy’s Chicken & Fixin’ makes the best fried chicken in the city. After sampling some myself, I have to agree. - Best Game-Related Storyline to Follow: Homegrown JaMarcus Russell parlayed an up-and-down career at LSU into becoming the No. 1 overall pick of last year’s draft. Good for him. Unfortunately, the team the drafted him was the Raiders. I’m curious to see how Saints fans will welcome the former Tiger.

- Best Non-Game-Related Storyline to Follow: Are the Saints in danger of becoming a new version of the Carolina Panthers? Surely Saints fans aren’t happy to hear such talk but the folks at Bleecher Report seem to think this is a very strong possibility. With Colston possibly returning, maybe the Saints will buck this prediction.

- Best Random Piece of Saints Merchandise: Not so much “random” as it is “awesome”. The bedspreads come in all sizes so you’ll enjoy this Saints’ bedroom gear if you’re a kid or just a kid at heart.
- Best Local Artist to Listen to Before/After the Game: Walter “Wolfman” Washington. A living legend in New Orleans, there’s no better way to get into that funky New Orleans state of mind.
- Best Completely Random Bit of Info: Anyone else notice the rainbow that appeared over the Superdome before Monday night’s loss? I guess the luck of the Irish doesn’t apply in Cajun country.
