Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008: Ochsner Health System OPENS Clinics in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Covington

NEW ORLEANS –Ochsner Health System announces the following OPENINGS in southeast Louisiana:
The following hospitals remain OPEN and fully functional to serve the community:
·Ochsner Medical Center, 1514 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson, LA
·Ochsner Medical Center – Kenner, 180 West Esplanade Ave., Kenner, LA
·Ochsner Medical Center – West Bank, 1221 South Clearview Pkwy., Harahan, LA
·Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge, 17000 Medical Center Dr.
·Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital – 4608 Highway 1

New Orleans: Ochsner Urgent Care Clinic – Jefferson Highway, 1514 Jefferson Hwy., from 1:00pm-5:00pm: General Pediatric, Primary Care, and General OB services. Patients must register at the Information Desk.

New Orleans: The Ochsner Acute Dialysis unit is open from 10am-5pm at 1319 Jefferson Hwy. Patients call 842-3520 to schedule dialysis.

New Orleans: Ochsner Home Health – New Orleans is open.
North Shore: Ochsner Health Center – Covington - 1000 Ochsner Blvd. Will be open from 10:00am-4:00pm today. All other North Shore Clinic locations remain closed.
Tomorrow, Thursday, September 4, 2008, Ochsner Health Center - Covington plans on returning to regular operations.

-Ochsner Health Center - Hammond is now open for urgent/primary care needs, but no emergency services are available.

-Ochsner Women’s Health Center and Ochsner Children’s Health Center, both located on the 3rd floor of Lakeview Regional Medical Center will open tomorrow Thursday, September 4, 2008.

-Ochsner Health Center - Slidell and Ochsner Health Center - Abita Springs will both open tomorrow, Thursday, September 4, 2008.

The following facilities are scheduled to re-open on Friday, September 5, 2008:
·Ochsner Baptist Medical Center, 2700 Napoleon Ave. in New Orleans
·Elmwood Fitness Center - Harahan
