Last spring, local restaurateurs Gaby Saliba, Tarek Tay and Hicham Khodr began a generous community-giving program at their newest restaurant, Table One. Each month, they picked a different nonprofit in the area and pledged 20 percent of one day’s restaurant sales as a donation to support its programs. As election day showdown approaches this weekend, coverage and blog entries fly. There was the offering here about Una Anderson’s endorsement debacle titled the Una Bomb by Clancy Dubos. There was also all kinds of debate over front runner Bobby Jindal from right and left. Action also briefly focused on negative reaction to John Georges recent Jindal attack in an interview with Stephanie Grace of the Times Picayune.

Elsewhere there was talk of how awesome the music scene is in October and why the folks on St. Claude Ave don’t love that chicken from Popeye’s. And finally bloggers clamored about the lawsuit filed challenging home assessment values at the exclusive Audubon Place.
