Is there any time of year better than the fall for sports? I didn’t think so. MLB playoffs, college football, the NFL and NBA get started — doesn’t get much better than that. I give you a quick run down of what’s coming up this weekend:

A) Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Chicago Cubs

Myself and two friends are/were planning on going to Chicago next weekend for the NLCS. Well, being that the Cubbies dropped the first two games in Arizona, the chances of that trip happening are as likely as Britney Spears putting on a thong in the morning. Yes, Zambrano got pulled too early, and yes, Lilly should have been pinch hit for in the 4th inning in Game 2. That’s in the past now. Hopefully they can win three straight. We’ll see.

B) Florida Gators vs. LSU Tigers

Two top-10 teams meet Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in Tiger Stadium. Tebow and Percy Harvin vs. Glenn Dorsey and Tyson Jackson. Keys for LSU to win this game:

1) Keep Percy Harvin in check. As long as Harvin doesn’t break off any big plays, the Tigers will be fine.

2) Penalties. It would be nice if Carnell Stewart would block someone and stop jumping before the ball is snapped. I would really appreciate that.

Those two things happen and LSU wins. The only guarantee is that Tiger Stadium will be rocking come 7:30 Saturday night. Oh, and I dislike Tim Tebow. Geaux Tigers!

C) Carolina Panthers vs. New Orleans Saints

David Carr is starting for Carolina. That’s about it here. I’ll take the Saints with Reggie having a nice day as the starting RB.

Next blog on Monday with a review of these games and more.

I can’t figure out why people don’t like me. It’s not like the media talks about me, or my favorite color, or what I had for breakfast, or how I walk on water, or armbar Rambo with my pinky, or complete 70% of my passes against North Carolina A&T Beauty School For the Blind (Westwego Campus).

Geez guys, give me a break. I look forward to continuing my college career as a fullback, err, quarterback and then buying my girlfriend, i mean, mommy a nice house when I get drafted number 1 overall after ESPN talks about me everyday 8 months before the NFL draft.

Now I must go because my mommy is calling me in for an early lunch. My bacon bombs are ready.

Go Gators

Sir:

Your analysis is brilliant. Simple; yet brilliant. Much like John Madden, you have offered us true insght into vitory, “If you score more points than the other team, then you win.” Genius

Man, I hope I don’t screw this up. It would be really sweet if I could ride this talent to a National Title so I can haul ass to Ann Arbor. Then I can buy all the hair coloring I want!!!

Sometimes I gotta let it air out. Sorry.

This is BS. The key to the game is me getting 27 carries for 28 yards. I know all of our other tailbacks will average 12 yards per carry, but I know coach will inexplicably keep giving me the ball while 3 future All Americans sit on the bench and watch my slow a$$.
